The Brewster School District is proud to announce that Jessica Garcia has been named Federal Programs Director of the Year by the Washington State Title I, Part C Migrant Education Program Committee. This prestigious honor recognizes Jessica’s outstanding dedication and unwavering commitment to the education and success of migratory children.

Jessica has always had a heart for culture and connection. As a college student, she attended courses in Mexico, immersing herself in the language and traditions. She became fluent in Spanish, a skill that has allowed her to bridge communication, build trust, and advocate fiercely for our migrant families.

Her career in Brewster Schools began in 2005 as an elementary school secretary. While serving in that role, she worked diligently toward her second college degree, demonstrating perseverance and a deep commitment to her own professional growth. Today, she leads the district as Federal Programs Director, where her vision, expertise, and compassion have made a lasting impact on countless students and families.

Throughout her career, Jessica has been a steadfast champion for educational equity—ensuring that migratory children receive the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. Her leadership reflects a rare combination of professional excellence, cultural awareness, and genuine compassion for the community she serves.

We could not be prouder of Jessica Garcia and her accomplishments. This recognition is a testament to her years of hard work, her dedication to students, and her heart for service.

Congratulations, Jessica—you have made Brewster Schools and our entire community incredibly proud!
